18. Post a “tweet” on Twitter and find someone to follow
You've heard of Twitter, but you may not know what it is. There are a lot of mixed feelings and controversy about Twitter, but the only way to decide which way it is is to explore for yourself.
Twitter is a microblog and you post a message that is limited to 140 characters. It can be used to keep up with friends if they are using Twitter as well or for a range of other group / organisation users. You will find the uni on Twitter and a range of companies as well.
So, create an account. Explore all the different parts of it. Use Find People to find someone to follow. Post a tweet about anything you want. Let us know who you are on Twitter by posting an entry in your blog and if you can think of a way of using it for your work at the Library.

Technorati is a search engine for blogs that uses tags as its main way of providing search results.
Try a few searches and see how the results are created. (The more obscure the query, the more revealing the results.)
How does this compare to Google/Yahoo?

the Blog directory looks quite useful on http://technorati.com/
,however, I would still prefer to do most of my work-related searchs on google; eg. looking for hard to locate fulltext articles.
